Wrapping Up!

It's been two busy weeks since the campaign ended, and I hope you are all enjoing a fun and relaxing last day of the year. To all of you, but especially to those who are working or far away from their families, I would like to send my best wishes for a happy New Year's Eve!

This is also the perfect time to acknowledge the good things we have accomplished, and for sure we did a good job with this campaign! Thanks to your support and collaboration, we were able to quickly estimate the quantities to manufacture for each design and color. The factory has been informed, and since the funds from Kickstarter have arrived (just a couple of days ago) they will begin the manufacturing process soon after they are back from the holidays!

This will take 4 to 5 months (we have ordered over ten thousands of glowing dice, that will have to be painted by hand!) then the sets will be shipped from Poland, sorted for fulfillment along with singles and dice from previous campaigns, and your rewards will be individually packaged and prepared for shipping (in about 6 more weeks). 

By the end of June all your dice should be in the hands of the post service, expected to reach most of you in time for the 45th Anniversary of the Voyagers' launch!

The next update will be about the pledge manager setup, which is still being completed.

CONGRATULATIONS!

You are all getting full 8 pcs Constellation Dice - Voyager II Edition sets like in the pictures!

You still have 15 minutes to add-on as many Constellations d8 as you wish through the single dice add-on. 

In the pledge manager you will specify which dice you want as single, and in which color combination:

• White paint on Starfield
• Light blue glowing paint on Starfield
• Golden paint on Night Black
• Light blue glowing paint on Night Black
• Silver paint on Sky Blue
• Light blue glowing paint on Sky Blue

As some of you requested, for the Constellations d8 only there is a special add-on level for the Silver paint on Night Black version that you have seen in the rendering. Moreover the Light blue glowing paint on Night Black d6 couple wasn't avalaible due to a glitch; now it can be added again.

IMPORTANT

To take advantage of better prices, the order for manufacturing your sets has to be placed on Thursday.
In order to estimate the final quantities to be manufactured, I have prepared an optional survey (you are not required to complete it, but I would be grateful if you do) to make sure that all the singles you wish to get will be available without having to break full sets.

It's been 12 hours since the last update, and in 12 more hours the campaign will end.

•  The good news: we are getting closer and closer to 300% funded!
•  The bad news: we are not there yet, and what a bummer it would be to close at 299%!

I would like to see the Constellations d8 manufactured as much as you do, and after doing some calculations I think there would be enough funds to make it if we reach at least 285%, that is about €50,000.

Now, pay close attention:

• If the half of you adds-on a single die to their pledge, we would get there in no time! 
• If we do get there, that single die you are adding could be your very own Constellations d8! 

That said, let's make very clear that the add-on is for a generic single die to be chosen among those in the set, and only if we reach at least 285% the Constellations d8 will be a possible choice.

If the campaign closes at less than 285%, that add-on will get you the Southern Sky d6 or any other design of your choice (excluding of course the d10/d100 since they go in couples).

The previously announced stretch goal remains valid, so if we happen to hit 300% as well:

• every 7pcs set will get a FREE Southern Sky d6 and become an 8pcs set just as in the pictures.
• every 8pcs set will get a FREE Constellations d8, also in the same color combination as your set.

This will apply to all sets, including those from the early bird rewards, and those added-on, as my way to thank you for the amazing support. But... if we want to get to 300%, we must reach 285% first.

Things are moving rather quickly right now at 24 hours left. Maybe there is hope for 300%? 

The median pledge is about €50, so we are looking for 150 more backers.

What you can do is spread the word on your social accounts! One fun way is to post something that will make your friend curious, or change your profile picture for a day. And I have something that you can use:

Closing up! Crunching numbers

Dear all, in a little more than one day the campaign will end. It's been just a week, but what a week!

Despite having launched between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this Kickstarter broke our previous record for funding and number of backers. 

However, unless anything crazy happens, unfortunately it seems unlikely we are going to 300%... so the Constellation d8 will be for another time: after taxes, Kickstarter/Backerkit fees and shipping expenses, all of the funds will be used for manufacturing as many sets as possible, since most probably it will be a while before we see another print of this set. 

As anticipated, the very convenient prices (compared to previous campaigns) were only possible on the condition to place a large enough order before the end of the year, and the factory is closing for the holidays from next week; for this reason I had to brush up my degree in wildguessology and come up with a number of sets that I hope will be enough for the backers of the next 24 hours, and for the pledge manager add-ons.

On top of the 1500 sets you have claimed until today, this is what will be manufactured:

• 150 Light Blue glowing paint on a Starfield
• 200 White paint on a Starfield
• 200 Light Blue glowing paint on Night Black / Sky Blue
• 200 Metallic paint (silver/gold) on Night Black / Sky Blue

The quantities are based on factory requirements such as the minimum number of sets per color / minimum number of sets painted in each style, and the available budget.
